Mrs. Beshears
Mrs. Oma K. Beshears, 82, 112 Lester St., Attalla, died Friday in a local nursing home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, with the Revs. Charles Beshears officiating. Burial in Oak Hill.
Survivors: husband, Sammie Beshears; daughters, Jo Ann Beshears, Attalla, Linda Gail Martin, Tuscaloosa, Marie Beshears, Decatur; sons, Kenneth Beshears, Atlanta, Ga., Junior Kent, Attalla, Dale Beshears, Leeds; sisters, Mrs. Lois Campbell, Birmingham, Mrs. Elene King, Oneonta; brother, Coy Kent, Oneonta; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers: Mike, Edward and Steven Beshears, Danny Kent, Randall Golden, Jimmy Mikle.
Honorary pallbearers: nurses and staff of fourth hall of McGuffey Health Care Center.
Mrs. Beshears was a native of Blount County and a resident of Etowah County most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Attalla.
The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 this evening.
