Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Hazel Fortenbury, 84, Attalla, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, after an extended illness.
The Rev. Jimmy Bailey will officiate. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Fortenberry was a native and lifelong resident of Attalla. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Ballard; sisters, Ida Gerber, Edna Kimbril and Georgia Ballard; and brother, Mack Ballard.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Dennis) Tate; grandchildren, Tina (Ron) Chason, Mary (Roger) Conley, Tonya (Tim) Gibbs and Alisha Phillips: and great-grandchildren, Ronnie Chason, Elizabeth Chason, Kevin Harden, Krissie Whisenant, Ryan Chason, R.C. Conley, Dalyn Smith, Cody Aultman, Carrie Aultman, Michael Phillips and one more due in July.
Pallbearers will be Ron Chason, Roger Conley, Kevin Harden, Tim Gibbs, Mark Whisenant and Ronnie Chason ii.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. S.P. Sanchetti, Dr. Alan Gertier, Dr. Barry Fesster and Dr. Rebecca Miller; nurses and staff of eighth floor and CCU of Gadsden Regional Medical Center; nursing staff of the Kiklin Clinic in Birmingham; and the staff of Rick's Discounty Drugs of Attalla.
Vistation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
