" SS Opal, ........ was a British steamer of 599 tons.
On December 18th, 1916, Opal, on a voyage from Llandulas to Belfast & Glasgow with a cargo of limestone, was sunk by the German submarine U-80 (Alfred von Glasenapp), off Isle of Man. 12 persons were lost."
