Loraine "Rene" Parton Acton, 90, of Waco passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Tuesday, September 22 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco with interment to follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Monday, September 21 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.


Loraine was born to George L. and Ida Parton September 26, 1924. On October 3, 1943, she married Harold Acton with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage. Loraine was a long time resident of Waco and an active member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher. She found joy in cake decorating and shared that love by teaching others, as well as creating sugar Easter eggs.


Loraine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Acton; six brothers; one sister; son, Steve Acton.


Loraine is survived by her son, Jeff Acton; grandchildren, Crystal Acton, Shiloh Acton, Cheyenne Blanchard; great-grandchildren, Zachary Acton, Bret Acton, Lance Blanchard; ex daughter-in-law, Debbie Acton; sister, Yvonne Dursum; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Mary Acton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
