On September 20, 2015, Carl McGee, 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas peacefully passed away and went to be with Jesus.

He spent the majority of his life as a manager overseeing many restaurants and also was a great chef.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Paula, on August 4, 2015 as well as his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his children: Linda Danner, Carl McGee, Jr. (Audrey), Latawn McGee, Sean McGee (Heather), Christina McGee, Kerry Troop (Brad), and Kevin McGee. Carl also leaves behind twelve grand-children and a host of family and friends.

Carl was a true man of God that instilled many valuable traits in each of his children. Carl honorably served in the US Air Force and he was an active member of his church serving as a Deacon. In his spare time, he was proactive in the community and was well-known and liked with whomever he came across.

The funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, September 28, 2015 at First Church of God in Christ 2037 N 14th St Fort Smith, AR 72904. The burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery 522 Garland Street Fort Smith, AR 72901 with Military Honors. Arrangements under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.
