COLFAX - Clarice E. Brooks, 87, of Colfax, died at 5:11 a.m. Wednesday (July 9, 2003) at her residence. Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, Bloomington. Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington is in charge of arrangements. Burial: East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation: from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. Survivors: two daughters, two sons, 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. (The Pantagraph)
I have fond memories of Clarice, she always smiled.
* On 14 March 2016, there was a Donald Trump Rally at the airport across the street from this cemetery. Although located beneath a tree, Clarice's grave, her husband Clifford's, Clifford's sister, and brother in-law, as well as, Sylvester family members graves were repeatedly driven over causing damage to the gravesites.(Second Photo.)
When the damage occurred, the Cemetery management told us that the stone's foundation would have to be replaced, and that the cemetery would be incurring all costs. They replaced not only the foundation but provided an entirely new memorial stone. Many thanks to them. (Top Photo)
Thank You for visiting my sweet Great Aunt.
