She was born May 30, 1912, in Fleming County, Ky., to Rant and Nancy Susan (Whitt) James. She married Earl S. Colvill on Aug. 31, 1929, in Anderson.
She worked in the cafeteria at Delco Remy 26 years before retiring in 1976.
She attended South Meridian Church of God for over 70 years.
She was a wonderful seamstress, cook, and enjoyed crocheting. She was the best mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Ron) Treesh of Anderson and Linda (Lowell) Rice of Claremont, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Donna Colvill Crim of Columbus, Ind; 12 grandchildren, Jeff (Karen) Colvill; Terry (Gary) Beale; Laura (Rob) Andrews; Candy (Jim) Niemeyer; Cindy Parrish, Chris (Amy) Colvill; Cheryl Cochran; Ted (Kelly) Treesh; Rhonda Treesh; Emily (Steve) Rodecap; David (Mindy) Rice and Grant (Brooke) Rice; 31 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl who died on Jan. 11, 1996; son, Ronald and wife, Leona Colvill and son Donald Colvill; and two brothers and five sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Dale Landis officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
