Burial Services Held Here For Lewis Jordan, Thursday

Burial services were held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery last Thursday afternoon for Lewis Jordan, 78 of near Marty Mision, S.D. Funeral services were held at Wagner at the Methodist Church. He died at the Wagner hospital after a brief illness, May 23, 1950.

He was born at Clinton, Iowa in 1871 and in 1894, he married Henrietta Howe, Bagley, Iowa. In 1902 they moved to a farm five mile southwest of Armour where they resided until 1920 when they moved to the farm where he has since resided with his daughter, Alice Jordan. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death.

He is survived by five daughters, Alice, Wagner; Mrs. Vern Harris, Yankton; Mrs. Vern Giles, Texas; Mrs. Ernest Hensel, Philadephia, Pa.; and Mrs. Albert Lawien, Timber Lake, South Dakota; Two sons Ted, Wagner and Marion, Boise Idaho.

Lew as he was known in this Community was well liked here and often made trips to Armour before his illness.
