Grand Coteau Services Held For Miss Barry

Sister of Frank S. Barry, Banker, Passes On While Visiting Sister in Mobile

Miss Linda Barry, 61, of Grand Coteau, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Barry, died Monday morning at 10:15 in Mobile, Alabama. Rites were held at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the residence of her brother, Frank S. Barry, in Grand Coteau with services at the Sacred Heart church. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

Rev. R. J. Barrilleaux, S. J., Pastor, conducted the services and paid tribute to Miss Barry. Assisting were Rev. E. A. Fields, S.J., Rev. E. J. Bernard, S.J., Rev. C. Thensted, S.J., and Rev. L. T. O'Neill, S. J.

Miss Barry was a lifelong resident of Grand Coteau and had been in Mobile only a few months before her death. She possessed a loveable disposition and adhered devoutly to her religion. She was a member of the Children of Mary Sodality and Bon Amors Society of the Sacred Heart parish.

Surving are two sisters, Mrs. Florance B. Levet of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Ben Olivier of Jeanerette; two brothers, Dr, W. B. Barry of Alexandria and Frank S. Barry, Banker of Grand Coteau.

Pallbearers were Dr. W. B. Barry, Frank S. Barry, J. R. Barry, Roy Edwards, Ben Olivier, and Harold Barry.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of E. S. Smith of Grand Coteau.
