Frank Foshee was the son of John Wesley Forshee and Nancy Jane Campbell Forshee. Frank seems to be the one who dropped the R, as the Forshee's who were sympathic to the North during the Civil War kept the R in their name and those who were sympathic to the South took the R out, in hopes they wouldn't be associated with each other. John W. Forshee fought for the confederacy during the war.

Frank Foshee died from hypertensial heart disease per his Missouri death certificate. He retired from St. Joseph Lead Company, he was a machinist.
