DEATH NOTICE
26 Sep 1912
The Pittsburg Daily Headlight:

"The funeral of Frank Mantonya was held this afternoon from the Bowman Parlors and interrment was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery."

BIO: by Karla Todd Sherer

Frank Mantonya was possibly born in Missouri as there is a record which states he and both parents were born in Missouri. However, records and research both show his family always living in Kansas and usually in the Pittsburg area. I have supplied the little bit of information I have and I welcome any additional information.

On 4 Jul 1906 Frank married Mary Atkinson in Crawford Co., KS. In 1910 Frank and Mary are living in Pittsburg with her family and roomers. Frank is working as Section Boss on Railroad and also have directory where he's a laborer on Joplin & Pittsburg Railway Co. I assume Frank and Mary divorced around this time.

On 28 Dec 1910 Frank married Laura Ann "Cricket" Todd in Sevier Co., AR. He was 29 and she was 19. They were not married very long but did produce a son connected below. The son was raised by his mother and until this "Death Notice" was found by a Todd family member nothing much was known of what happened to Frank.

Rest in peace Frank....
