Death of George A Dolan
George Dolan was called to Omaha on Thursday, March 17, by the death of his father, George A. Dolan, who passed away after an illness from consumption. The funeral occurred the following Sunday from St. Patrick's cathedral with interment in the Catholic cemetery.
Mr. Dolan's wife died a number of years ago, when the family was living in Louisville and the children were separated. The baby, Bruce, went to live with an aunt, Mrs. Henry Walthers of Saginaw, Michigan; Larry remained in Omaha with his grandmother; George, the eldest, stayed in Louisville until he later joined the Navy, and little Billy was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Kahler, of Louisville. He accompanied his brother, George, to their father's funeral, all the brothers being there except little Bruce, the baby.
Mr. Dolan carried some insurance and received a splendid burial according to the rites of his church. His sons are all getting along nicely and all have good homes and are highly respected and have a host of friends - Louisville Courier.
