Mr. Craft was born October 22, 1940 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Otho Craft and Roxie Entsminger Craft. Gerald served his country as a pilot with the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was the owner of Ace Accounting for over thirty years. Gerald was a member of Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Church. He was an avid hunter.
In addition to his wife, Elaine Ford Craft, Mr. Craft is survived by two stepsons, Mark Nelson and wife, Katherine of Hot Springs and Stephen Nelson and wife, Misty of Burnsville; a stepdaughter, Soni Lambert and husband Hubert of Santa Rosa, California; step granddaughter, Brooke Nelson; six step grandsons, Drew Ryder, Cody Nelson, Cole Nelson, Casey Meister, Alex Molinari, and Tyler Roark; one brother, Norman Craft of Daleville and two sisters, Myrtle Sellers and Brenda Smith, of Lexington; a special friend, Wanda Jamison; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Otho and Roxie Entsminger Craft, Mr. Craft was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Woodland Church in Millboro with Pastor David George officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Burns. Interment will follow in Woodland Church Cemetery in Millboro. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Curtis A. Smith Post 1033 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers will be Mark L. Smith, David Perkins, Stephen Smith, Grover Ford, Reid Broce, Tyler Roark, Lonnie McKinney, and Raymond Thacker. Honorary pallbearer will be D. A. Nickolay. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to ALS Association, 7507 Standish Place, Rockville, Maryland, 20855.
