Yakima, Wash. - Former Missoula resident Rose B. Hanson, now of Yakima, Wash., died following an extended illness Sunday, Sept. 8, at Central Convalescent Home.
She was born December 24, 1899 in Dickinson, North Dakota, the 11th child of Peter and Marianna Bleth.
An accomplished secretary, she worked in a number of offices, including the University of Montana and the Yakima County commissioner's office, from which she retired in 1965.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Jean Johnson, Polson, a son, Bruce, Yakima, a sister, Edna Patzer, Missoula; seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
A son, John Wesley, preceded her in death, as did nine brothers and sisters.
Services have been held in Yakima.
The family suggests memorials to the Selah Seventh Day Adventist Church or to the Salvation Army.
