Visiting at Southside Funeral Home, 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services at McKowen Baptist Church at 8 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. S.H. Freeman. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife, Julia Rider; a sister, Mrs. Ophelia Parker, Chicago, Ill.; a brother- and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Hill, Jackson; five nieces and three nephews, all of Baton Rouge; five nephews-in-law and three nieces-in-law, all of Jackson; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, and a sister.
