Miss Alice Jewett, a step daughter of Lemuel Buck, who has been sick some time, died last Sunday.
Miss Jewett was 18 years of age. During the Christmas holidays she fell on the ice at Grant and was severly injured by the fall. Before she recovered typhoid pneumonia set in, which after about three weeks terminated in her death. She was buried on Tuesday last.
Miss Jewett was one of the good girls and she enjoyed the respect of all who knew her.
