Roman J. Nespodzany Jr, 62, Town of Meeme resident, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from heart surgery, Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the Sheboygan Senior Community Rehab Center in Sheboygan. Roman was born August 26, 1953 in Manitowoc, the son of the late Roman and Martha Jacboski Nespodzany Sr. He attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School and graduated with the Class of 1971. He later attended Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland where he graduated with a degree in Hazardous Materials Handling. Over the years, Roman worked on the family farm, was employed by Goodyear as a tire salesman, drove truck for Spielvogel and Sons, inspected hazardous material holding tanks and finally retired as a heavy equipment operator from Operating Engineers Local 139 after 20 plus years of service. Roman volunteered as a fire fighter with the Cleveland Fire Department for 20 years, and was a member of the Manitowoc County Hazmat Team. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill, where he taught Religious Education Classes. His passions included: attending his grandson's football games (of which he never missed a game), watching the Green Bay Packers and high school basketball tournaments. His granddaughter's favorite memory of him is when he would pick her up from kindergarten to get a "tattoo" (ice cream). Roman was also a regular at Four Seasons Family Restaurant in Manitowoc.

Survivors include two daughters, Taffini (Michael) Trimberger and Pamela Nespodzany, both of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Ian Crook and Elise Trimberger, both of Sheboygan; one brother, John (Kathie) Nespodzany of Brookfield, WI; three sisters, Janet (John) Kelly of San Diego, Calif., Judith (Gerald) Stemper of Fond du Lac, WI., and Joyce (Edward) Wallace of San Diego, Calif.; as well as many adored nieces and nephews and numerous greatly appreciated lifelong friends. Preceding Roman in death are his parents and one sister and her husband, JoAnn (Park) Johnson.

Services for Roman, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Entombment will follow. Friends may call at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of Service.
