She was born on February 7, 1935, at her family’s home in Elgin, Iowa, the daughter of Lester Everett and Dorothy Herman Chase. She graduated from high school in Volga, Iowa, with the Class of 1952 and then attended the University of Northern Iowa(Cedar Falls) and Upper Iowa University (Fayette). On April 5, 1953, she and Michael Henry Eder were married at the American Lutheran Church in Volga. Mrs. Eder was a secretary for several Jesup area businesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Jon Eder in 1959, and 1 brother, Kenneth Chase.
