Gail worked for the American Can Company in Washington, NJ, for 17 years as an electrician. He was also a driver for NORWESCAP. Gail was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army for 4 years and then reinlisting in the Air Force for 20 years. He moved through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria. He was in the Battle of the Bulge, Battle of the Rhine River, and the Battle of Central Europe.
Gail is survived by his children; Cindy Parks of Effort, Pa., and Nancy Gellock and her husband Ray of Lower Nazareth Twp., Pa. His grandchildren, Dana, Gail, Richard Hoadley and Dylan and Timothy Parks. His great-grandchildren, Madison and Danica Hoadley. Gail is also survived by siblings, Harold Schlecht and Elizabeth Parr. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Bonnie Burke, son Russell Schlecht and siblings, Charles Schlecht, Iris Kehler, and Christian Schlecht.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11AM in The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Hwy., Easton, Pa. 18045. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 9 to 11AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
