She moved to California in 1958 and married Edward Stober (deceased in 1973).
In 1977 she married William "Bill" Roby. After moving to Oklahoma City in 1971, she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives and Senate. After retiring from the Senate, she continued working as a Legal Secretary for several years. She loved traveling, making new friends, playing bridge and mahjong with the girls and card games like gin rummy and cribbage with family. She always liked to keep her mind and hands busy with crossword puzzles, sodukos, knitting and crocheting - especially making beautiful heirlooms for her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Barbara is survived by husband, Bill; children, Scott Stober and Janet Stober-Beck; step-children, Billy Jo, David Roby, Louise Roby and Lynn Morrison, who combined have 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at United Methodist Church of the Servant. If you would like to remember Barbara, donations can be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
