Francis “Hank” Adams, 80, of Minden died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Kearney County Health Services-Hospital in Minden.
Memorial services were today at St. John’s Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. James Benton officiating. Burial was at Minden Cemetery.
Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden was in charge of arrangements.

Hank was born on July 27, 1935, in Ponca to Clarence and Mary (Fitzgerald) Adams. He grew up in that area and graduated from Ponca High School, then graduated from Barber School in Lincoln. He moved to Minden and worked for Denny Osterbuhr at Denny’s Barber Shop. He later purchased the shop from Denny.
On June 10, 1957, he married Betty Bucks and they were blessed with four children, Mark, Brad, Kevin and Debra.
Hank was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Minden and a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. Hank enjoyed visiting with the people in the barbershop and loved being around his family.
Survivors include a son, Brad Adams of Englewood, Colo.; daughter, Debra Adams of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Misty Marshall and Jeremiah Adams; three great-grandchildren, Derrick and Dustin Marshall and Haylee Adams; brother, Bernard Adams and wife Kathy of Ponca; and sister-in-law, Beverly Prather of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and two sons, Kevin and Mark.
