Louis W. Adams, 80, of Columbus, NE., died on July 23, 2012 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln. He was born on January 22, 1932 in Ponca, NE. to Clarence and Mary (Fitzgerald) Adams. He graduated from Ponca High School in 1951 and shortly after joined the U.S. Navy, where he was enlisted until 1959. After being honorably discharged, Louis worked many jobs across the state of Nebraska. He married Frances Waite on July 9, 1986 and became step-father to seven children. Louis and his family settled in the Lincoln area until Frances' death in 1994. In his later years, Louis moved to Columbus where he remained until his death.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances; his parents; siblings Jess, Donald, Clarence, Patrick, and Rita.
Louis is survived by his brothers Bernie and Francis; step-children Robert (Dee) Waite, Patsy (Roger) Woodrick, Dode Rudat, Lee Waite, Don Waite, Joe Waite, Cindy (Greg) Obenchain; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Lincoln Memorial Park, 6800 S 14th Street. Please meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM for procession. Memorials in care of the family.
