Mr. Howard had resided in the Leon Community for 14 years, going there from Avoca, Ark. in 1922. He also had lived in Missouri and Oklahoma before coming to Butler County.
The Leon man was born in Kentucky, June 19,1871 and was married to Miss Flora Parker at Bentonville, Ark. in 1898
He is survived by his widow, Five sons, Emmett, of Winfield, and Graton, Ewing, Claude and Marion all of Route 1 Leon and two daughters, Mrs Flora Dyke, of Sterling and Miss Grace Howard of Route 1, Leon. Three sons and two daughters preceded him in death.
