Doris L. Kohr, 87, formerly of Palmyra, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Etters.

Born January 11, 1928 in Orwin, she was a daughter of the late Clair Steily and Eva (Adams) Steily Weaver.

The widow of Walter Q. Kohr, who died October 25, 2005, she was also preceded in death by siblings June Gibson, Robert Steily and William Steily.

Retired from the Department of General Services for the State of Pennsylvania, she was also a selfemployed licensed beautician in Colonial Park. A member of the Harrisburg Beauticians Association and Calvary United Methodist Church, Harrisburg, she was a volunteer at Danville (Virginia) Regional Hospital where she crocheted hats and booties for the neonatal unit.

Surviving are her daughters Bonnie K. Purdue of Yanceyville, North Carolina and Patti K. Hileman White of Etters; grandchildren John Hileman, Jeremy Hileman, Kimberly Evans, Charles Purdue, II; great grandchildren Joshua, Keelan, Michael, Keith, Kelsey, Jordan, Marissa, Dakota and Louis; great great granddaughter Halee; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing beginning at 6:30 PM. Interment will be 9:00 AM Monday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice for All Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028.
