Mary Lehr Kimble dies at AMCI

Mary Lehr Kimble, 99, 1212 Dearborn Street, died Friday at the Augusta Medical Complex.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the Elmwood Cemetery, Rev. Burl Alison Jr. officiated.

A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in Augusta.

She was born Dec. 18, 1885 in Butler County to Joel and Mary Amerocous McFerren [Johnson].

She married Charles J. Lehr Jan. 1, 1902 in Wichita. He preceded her in death Apr. 14, 1960.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Carl Lehr of Augusta and Charles Lehr of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Marie Burt of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Gilbert Johnson of Wichita; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Two daughters and a grandson preceded her in death.
