Leona worked for J.I. Case and ran a day care.
She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed yard sales, gardening, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Lynn Cooley; two brothers, Frank Jr. and Marvin; two sisters, Violet Cook and Twila Wirt, and one niece, Joyce Cook.
