Sally E. Springsteen, 92, went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2020 at New London Specialty Care, New London, Iowa.
Born September 24, 1927 in Kingston, Iowa she was the daughter of Frank B. and Jessie M. (Kneedy) Wirt. On May 29, 1945 she married Richard J. “Grav” Springsteen in Burlington, Iowa. He died on January 3, 2004.
Sally was of the Methodist faith.
Sally had worked at Campbell Chain Co., Sylvania, Wonder Bread Day Old Store, St Francis Continuation Care Center and retired from Southeastern Community College in 1990.
Sally was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and enjoyed walking, reading, listening to the St. Louis Cardinals games, Classic Country, and Country Gospel Music. She enjoyed canning vegetables from her husband’s gardens and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Sally loved her family dearly, having her grandchildren spend the night on Fridays, providing pizza night on Saturdays for her son and family, sister Twyla Wirt and good friend Dena Stanley and New Years Eve parties for her family including her 3 Sisters and their families. Sally was blessed with many good neighbors.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, three sisters, one niece and one nephew.
