Mrs. Anna Power
Barre - Mrs. Anna (Kachenski) Power, 74, of Hardwick Road, Barre Plains, died yesterday after a short illness.
She was the widow of Willard D. Power. She was born in Turners Falls, the daughter of Eva (Kachorak) Kachenski. She had lived in this town 49 years and was a Gold Star Mother, having had a son, Thomas W., killed in the Philippines during World War II.
She leaves three sons, Walter R. and Willard D., both of Wheelwright, and Edward J. of Plainsville, Conn.; three daughters, Miss Anna I. Power of Barre Plains, Mrs. Richard Covell of Northampton and Mrs. John Kurty of Ludlow; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A private funeral will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow from the Snyder and Britton Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Marcus Mertough officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
