Swen Johnson, 84 years, 6 months and 24 days, died last Monday at
his home. He had been postmaster of Argo for 11 years. He was born
in Nibale parish, Kristianstads Lan, Sweden on Dec. 23, 1820, and he
emigrated to the USA in 1869. He married Inga Akanson on April 9,
1849. They had 8 children, 5 of whom are deceased. Survivors are
his wife, and 3 children; Nels, Swen and Mrs. Andrew Christenson of
Argo. He was buried at the Argo Cemetery.
