Born Sept. 24, 1936, in Ringwood to the late William A. and Ruby A. Hansard Gauley, she died March 31, 2005, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ralph Murphy, and one brother, Capt. James Gauley.
A graduate of Ringwood High School, Pat moved to Ardmore in 1956. She was active with Relay For Life and the United Way. She was the Okeene Rattlesnake Roundup Queen, Friend of Bill W., counselor for Arbuckle Drug and Alcohol, member of Four Seasons Dance Club, a PTA president and a graduate of Leadership Ardmore. She served on several boards including the Oklahoma and National Associations of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, Ardmore Board of Realtors, Broadway House, YMCA and Ardmore Day Nursery. Survivors include two sons, Kevin, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Randy and his wife, Crystal, Ardmore; two daughters, Lori Bell and her loving man, Jon Kolbensvik, Flower Mound, Texas, and Kelly Murphy-Fryer and her husband, Scott, Ardmore; two brothers, Fred Gauley, Aurora, Colo., and Ike Gauley, Ringwood; 12 grandchildren, Kevin Murphy Jr., Kelly Murphy, Ralph Murphy II, Vivien Murphy, Eddie and Catherine Bell, Jeremiah, Aleshia and Rachael Kolbensvik, Bear and Melissa Sluice and Murphy Fryer.

Bearers are Kevin Murphy, Randy Murphy, Scott Fryer, Fred Gauley, Ike Gauley, Bear Sluice, Eddie Bell and Jon Kolbensvik. Honorary bearers are Sharon Rose, Cindy Brannon, Trey McElroy and friends of Bill W.
