MERIDEN — Mrs. Anna (Bartholomeo) Hale, 78, of Meriden, formerly a resident of Waterbury, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Carroll E. Hale.
Anna was born in Waterbury on Nov. 25, 1933, daughter of the late Michael A. and Elisabetta (Cesare) Bartholomeo. She attended Croft High School. She worked at CVS on Bank Street in Waterbury for many years until her retirement. She was an avid Bingo player at both St. Patrick's and Our Lady of Mount Carmel churches, and also loved baseball and bowling.
She leaves one daughter, Darlene Hale Ingala and her husband, Joseph, of Meriden; one brother, Tony Bartholomeo and his wife, Linda, of Watertown; two sisters, Rose Dubauskas and her husband, Richard, of Waterbury, and Lorraine Malcarne of Watertown; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gallichant and her husband, Todd, Matthew Gifford and Joey Ingala; three great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan Gallichant, and Leah Gifford; a brother-in-law, Anthony Angurio of Waterbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Hale, a brother, Joseph Bartholomeo, a sister, Elizabeth Angurio, and a brother-in-law, Edward Malcarne.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. Patrick's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
