Age 83 died Sunday, August 20, 2006 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Alice was born October 10, 1922 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Alice had been a member of the Elks Daisy Chain Temple #212 in Ann Arbor and a member of the Church of Christ in Ann Arbor for over 30 years. She was married to Lawrence Chapple who preceded her in death. Alice loved to bake and had many requests for her homemade goods. She is survived by her children, Bennie (Josie) Carter of Oak Park, IL, and Clarence Carter of Ann Arbor. She is also survived by her grandchildren Donna Carter, Ericka Carter, Eric Carter and Alesha Carter as well as her brothers Charles (Margaret) Betsey of Washington D.C. and Delford Betsey of Tampa, FL.
