Truman Daniel Moulton, 93, of Rochester, died at his home on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.
He was born on Feb. 21, 1922, in Dodge Center, to True and Marion (Franklin) Moulton. On Sept. 25, 1948, he married Arleen Weis in Rochester, where they began their life together. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. Mrs. Moulton survives.
Truman served in the U.S. Army and as a young man farmed in Southeast Minnesota for many years. He worked for Mayo Clinic and then was a self-employed businessman in the transportation industry for over 53 years.
He is survived by four children, Dan (Sue) Moulton, of Chatfield, Dixie (John) Reesor, of Shakopee, Dewey Moulton, of Oronoco, and Dennis (Jill) Moulton, of Nisswa; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Craig, Alison, Tyler, Samantha, Andrea and Karlee Jo; and one sister, Beverly (John) Stanco, of Eau Claire, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents, True and Marion Moulton; and four sisters.
Truman worked hard at providing a college education for his four children and eventfully finished his own education, attaining a G.E.D. about the age of 58. He was a member of the Rochester American Legion and the Oronoco VFW. He was a Councilman for Oronoco City and a board member on the Wasioja Cemetery Association. For the last few years, he became the primary caregiver for his wife.
