Born and raised in Brunnerville, PA, she was a faithful and active member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren. She graduated from the former Rothsville High School in 1955 and worked for Armstrong World Industries at the Corporate Office. She enjoyed travel, gardening, and 50 years with her card club friends. She will be remembered for her patience, strength, giving and loving personality. Most of all, her love of her grandchildren and spending time with her family gave her the most pleasure.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, James Longenecker (and Lani), Lititz, PA, Joel Longenecker (and Susan), Hudson Valley, NY, and daughter, Kelly Knapp (and Henry), Beaver, PA; four grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Longenecker; Sabrina and Jason Knapp; two brothers, Theodore McCoy (and Thelma), Darvin McCoy (and Judy), and a sister, Dawn Spang, wife of the late Richard Spang.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor Marian’s Life with a Funeral Service at the Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St, Lititz, PA on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. with the Pastor’s Steve Hess and Henry Knapp officiating. Interment will take place at Brunnerville United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
