Eugene Carlile, 76, died Thursday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Potosi Cemetery with the Rev. T.C. Melton officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mr. Carlile was born in Rockdale and married Ruby Cora Adams in 1940 in Rocksprings. He moved to San Angelo in 1956 from Rocksprings, and to Winters in 1960 and Lawn in 1967. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Big Country Dozer Co. in Lawn and also for Vinson Ranches until retiring in 1984. He moved to Abilene in 1993 and was a member of Lawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; two daughters, Louise Gartman of Abilene and Shirley Gentry of Junction; one son, Edwin R. Carlile of Abilene; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
