ABILENE -- Ruby Cora Adams Carlile, 92, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, in her home. Graveside services were July 7, 2010, in Potosi Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Bardin officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola.

Ruby was born February 27, 1918, to John Walter and Florida Bammer Bort Adams in Rocksprings, Texas. She married Eugene Carlile in 1940. She moved to San Angelo from Rock Springs. In 1967 she moved to Lawn and to Abilene in 1992. She became a member of the Baptist church when she was 10 years old and was a member of Berry Lane Baptist Church in Abilene. She was a homemaker, a wonderful devoted wife, mother and "Granny".

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Earl Wayne Carlile; and a great-granddaughter, Misty.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise Gartman and husband Don of Abilene and Shirley Gentry and husband James of Junction; one son, Edwin Carlile and wife Suzy of Abilene; ten grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
