Nincey Katherine (Starnes) McGee was born on January 30, 1853 in Tennessee, the daughter of John C Starnes and Aleatha (Coggin) Starnes (ca 1822- ). {Nincey's 1st name has also been given as Nicy and Nancy.}

She was married on August 18, 1871 in DeKalb County to George Riley McGee (1851-1925).

Living with her daughter Mary at 1140 Riverwood Drive, Nashville, Nincey was 86 years old and a widow when she passed away at home on February 13, 1939.

Survivors included daughters Mrs T J Warden, Mrs E B Kerr and Mrs G H Smith; sons Charles McGee of Metropolis IL and Henry McGee of Nashville TN; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at Roesch-Charlton Funeral Home, and burial was on February 14th in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
