Mrs. John Tilson, former pioneer resident of Grant County, died at her home in Redondo Beach, Calif., May 27 following a heart attack.
She was born in Candia, N.H., and moved with her parents to Wellington, Kans., when a child and lived there until her marriage. She and her husband moved to Grant County where she taught school for several years. They lived west of Jefferson later moving into town.
After the death of her husband in 1923 she moved to California to be with her children.
She is survived by three sons, John of San Fernando, Ardrey of Oakland and Laddie of Long Beach, Calif.; and two daughters, Joy Nilsen of Redondo Beach and Lenita Dooley of Burbank, Calif.
