William married Francis or Franky Raurk, daughter of Peter Smith and Milkah Price-Ruark, August 13, 1838, in Pulaski County, Kentucky. The marriage was with consent of William's father James Randolph and Francis' father Peter Ruark.

In the 1850 Pulaski County, Kentucky, Federal census this family is listed with William as 29, Franka 29, my 2nd Great Grandfather James 9, Elizabeth 8, Patsey 6, Thomas 3, and Josiah 1. The family is then found in the 1860 Edgar County, Illinois, census without Francis.

Robert "Robbin" was listed in the 1860 Edgar County, Illinois, census, as 4 years old being born in Illinois, 1855- 1856, however, the Kentucky Births and Christenings record shows he was born April 30, 1852, in Pulaski County, Kentucky. The youngest, Patrick Henry Randolph, was born March 1855, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, but was not in the 1860, Edgar County, Illinois, census. It may be that Francis moved with the family to Illinois and her and Patrick died there not too long afterward.

I could not locate William after 1863.

William apparently made it home for his father's death and burial in Pulaski County, Kentucky. William's father named him and his brother Robert executors. William, Thomas, and Andrew were to have all the farming equipment when James, his father, died. "I certify that the foregoing is a true list of the sales of the property of James Randolph dec'd as told on the 9th day of May 1860; signed William Randolph"

William registered on July 1, 1863, in the Civil War Registration, listed as a farmer in Eldridge, Edgar County, Illinois.

William is a Veteran of the Mexican-American War, Private Company D, 2nd Kentucky Infantry
