been suffering with heart trouble for

held at the Shabbona M. E. church on
Wednesday afternoon and interment
was made in Evergreen cemetery.
Asa MeGregory was born in Canada
on April 14, 1846. He came to Michigan
about 45 years ago, settling near
Big Rapids. Here he was united in
marriage and a few years later, Mr.
and Mrs. McGregory moved to Evergreen
township, settling on a farm
one mile south of Shabbona. Three
sons were born to them. Mrs. Mc-
Gregory passed away at the farm
home.
About three years ago, Mr. McGregory
left the farm to make his home in
Shabbona. Here he was married a
second time, Mrs. Hulda Hulburt being
the bride.
Mr. McGregory has for many
years been a member of the M. E.
church at Shabbona. Besides his
widow, he leaves three sons, Frank
of Farmington, Verne of Decker and
Harvey of Evergreen township and
three brothers, P. S. McGregory of
Cass City, Francis McGregory. of
Brockway and Cyrus McGregory of
Detroit.
