Charles Bluedorn, a native of Germany, but a resident of the city for many years past, died early Friday morning at his home, 557 Pollock avenue after a brief illness. He had not been
suffering from any particular ailment, but death was caused by the infirmities of age.
He was born 84 years ago in Germany, where his boyhood and early manhood days were spent. Thirty-five years ago he came to this country and had been a resident of New Castle ever since that time. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church and had won the respect of many friends during his long residence in this city.
He is survived by one son, Henry Bluedorn of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Hettrick, of Whiting, Nebraska. His wife died two and a half years ago.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the late residence and the interment will be at Oak Park cemetery.
