Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Chapel for Mrs. Russell J. (Harriet E.) Vaughan, 80, of 801 Creek, who died Wednesday in General Hospital. The body will lie in state until noon Saturday and the casket will be closed. Dr. Stanley Jordan will officiate and Bradley Funeral Home will direct burial in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Werner Kaps, Henry Hardin, Alfred C. Anderson, Carter Starbird of Catoosa and Joe Tinkerton and Vernon Hale, both of Dutch Mills, Arkansas. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Born September 19, 1890, in Mason City, Iowa, to William Marshall Ege and Loie Ann Davis. Mrs. Vaughan was a member of the First Baptist Church and had lived in Muskogee since 1935. In addition to her husband (Russel) of the home, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. A. Biggs of Muskogee and Mrs. John G. Adams Jr. of Vernon, Texas; two sons, Robert M. of Wichita, Kansas, and Charles David, of Muskogee; two brother, C. R. Ege of Whittier, California, and A. V. Ege of Lecanto, Florida; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. – Muskogee Daily Phoenix on Friday December 19, 1969
