David knew his wife of 36-1/2 years Cathy, since he was 7 years of age.
They were married on January 11th, 1969 after only 20 days of dating.
He said our love was fate. David served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 5 years, Jan. 1968 to Jan. 1973. David has 19 grandchildren, whom he adored and was cherished by them.
David lost his life on June 23rd, 2005 while kayaking at the Salt river with his son Steven. David loved nature and was happy that his Arizona home was close to the river, lakes and Tonto national forest. He enjoyed and loved every minute of his nine months here in Mesa. David was happiest making purchases for his vast comic book collection and other items he collected. David loved driving his cabin cruiser boat around Lake Pleasant with his family aboard. He was devoted to his three dogs, Princess, Sassy and Prince, two cats, Lovey and Wedo, two cockatiels, Noah and Ellie and his turtle Rocky.
David was a man of honor, integrity, dignity, a brave warrior who had a strong faith in God and a complete, unwavering devotion to his family.
Anyone who knew David, knows that he was special, that he will be missed for being the kind of man that was all love and kindness. David was a devoted son-in-law to his beloved Lolly and sister-in-law Patty.
