ALVA CHRANE, 82, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, in the Chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview with Larry Suttle officiating. Interment will be held at Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
Alva was born on July 29, 1924, in Dekalb, Texas, to Henry and Gertrude (Cartlidge) Cox. She married the love of her life, Ralph J. Chrane in 1975. She worked as a cook at Shepherd Air Force Base. She was a member of Tenth & Broad Church of Christ. Alva enjoyed sewing, and she collected dolls. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Chrane.
Survivors include children, Judy Lucas of Wichita Falls, and Harold Reed and wife Loretta of Wichita Falls; sister, Ethel Ferguson of Wichita Falls; brother, Leon Cox of Dekalb; four grandchildren, Tracy Anderson and husband Brent, Shalah Lucas, Chris Lucas and wife Angel and Brad Lucas; four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
