Services have been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckman-Butherus Funeral Home, the Rev. E. H. Hancock officiating. Burial will be at Oakland.
Mr. Diehl was born Nov. 4, 1911 in Iowa City, the son of Edward J. and Margaret Williams Diehl. A lifelong local resident, he had been employed in the maintenance department at Towncrest Medical Center.
Surviving are his mother of Iowa City, Lawrence of Long Beach, Calif., and Alfred of Los Angeles, Calif, one niece and two nephews.
His father and one sister died earlier.
