Ralph J. Hassemer, age 57, of 209 Parkview Lane, Francis Creek, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, September 9, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 1995, at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. Raymond Schrimpf will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Ralph was born March 16, 1938, in Francis Creek, son of the late Charles and Mathilda Ahl Hassemer. He attended St. Anne Grade School and graduated from Mishicot High School in 1956. He worked for the Manitowoc Company from 1956 to 1961, then serving in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 and again working for the Manitowoc Company from 1963 until the present. On April 24, 1964, he married Jean Katzka at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church where he served as an usher, past president of St. Anne Cemetery Association. He was also a member of the Francis Creek Sportsman Club for which he held various offices. He was the past village president of Francis Creek which office he held for several years.

Survivors include his wife Jean, Francis Creek; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daryl and Gina Hassemer, Kingsbridge, Kevin Hassemer, Francis Creek; one daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Jeff Kintopf, Two Rivers; two grandchildren, Bryce Joseph Hassemer, and Kayla Jean Kintopf; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold Hassemer, rural Whitelaw, and his special friend, Bev Sanville. Milton and Ann Hassemer, rural Whitelaw; one sister and brother-in-law, LaVerne and James Tuma, Francis Creek his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marty and June Katzka, White Potato Lake, Wis.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends and special camping friends survive. He was preceded in death by two nephews, Dennis Hassemer and Stevie Hutterer; one sister-in-law, LaVerne Hassemer, Jean's grandpa, Raymond Arkens.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home (TONIGHT) from 4-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Fr. Schrimpf.
