Mrs. Anna Havlichek, 83, former resident of Francis Creek, died Saturday at a Manitowoc hospital following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek, with the Rev. John Haen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born July 13, 1878, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Kascha Stradal. She was married to Wencel Havlichek May 30, 1899, and the couple made its home on a farm in the Town of Kossuth. The couple retired in 1944 and moved to Francis Creek. Her husband died in 1948 and for a time she made her home at the St. Mary Home at Manitowoc, later making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Francis Preston, of Hartland.

Among survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Holschbach, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Francis Preston, of Hartland, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Monday evening by the Christian Mothers Society.

Pallbearers were Eugene Holschback, a grandson, Joseph J. Frank and Joseph Stradal, Ben Fischer, nephews, and Sabastian Pelz.

A son, Joseph, preceded Mrs. Havlichek in death in 1954.
