Mrs. Louis B. Herrmann, 85, formerly of 412A N. Lake St., Manitowoc, died early Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a four-month illness.

Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Herrmann, nee Clara Ellerman, was born March 14, 1885, at Whitelaw, the daughter of the late Fred and Theresa Simmet Ellermann. She attended St. Michael School at Whitelaw. On September 24, 1907 she was married to Louis M. Herrmann at St. Michael Church. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, until retiring and moving to Manitowoc in 1962. They made their home at 412A N. Lake St. until moving to St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, several years ago. Mrs. Herrmann was a member of St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society of Francis Creek. The couple celebrated its golden anniversary in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1967.

Survivors include two sons, Ervin of Manitowoc and Fred of Kossuth, four daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Leona) Newman of Manitowoc, Mrs. Max (Martha) Boehm of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Allen (Agnes) Degeneffe of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gerald (Violet) Panosh of Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Augustin of Port Washington and Mrs. Robert E. McCabe of St. Paul, Minn.; 20 grandchildren. A son, Paul, three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where a vigil service will be at 8 p.m.
