MARGARET MUENCH
(1895 - 1983)

Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Muench, 87, of Francis Creek, died Friday afternoon, January 7, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 1:30 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. James Massart will officiate at the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Muench, nee Margaret Hessel, was born May 17, 1895, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Blimel Hessel. She was married to Joseph W. Muench, May 8, 1917, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple operated a general merchandise store and the Muench Lumber Company in Francis Creek for many years. Mrs. Muench was a member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Anne Church and the Catholic Knight Branch 86 of Francis Creek. Her husband preceded her in death Aug 23, 1973.

Survivors include a son, Gerald at home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bernice and William Massemer of Francis Creek, Bernette and Paul Wachholz of Manitowoc and Margaret Muench of Francis Creek; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Miss Rose Hessel of Manitowoc and Marie and John Fenlon of Francis Creek; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday by Father Massart, the Christian Mothers Altar Society and the Catholic Knights.
