Edward Burns was the son of Patrick Burns and Sarah Conniff Burns, both born in Ireland. He was married to Mary Morris and died in St. Francis Hospital at the age of 64 of tetanus, from when he had stepped on a nail several months previously. He had lived at 75 Bridge St, Lambertville and had been in the US for 44 years.

Mrs. Geo. Hunt of Trenton, NJ was the informant on his NJ death certificate.
